For the shopping tourist it is also much inviting with places such as Vrchlabi and Trutnov into environment of the B&B, where you can buy very beautiful memories for Czech prices. Vrchlabi This city is on 465 meters height and has approximately 15,000 inhabitants. The place Vrchlabi meant as much as the hill to Elbe and this city has many attraction, as the museum over the giant mountains, historical buildings and beautiful glass, crystal and ceramic(s) shop. Vrchlabi (high Elbe) is those admission of the central part of the giant mountains and is here also the principal office of the Krkonoše National Park (KRNAP).
Here you can see also the last bewared "Peak gabel hauses" who belonges to the oldest and her people architecture of the giant mountains where also the Krkonoše museum is. This museum has a permanent exhibition over the beginning of tourism in the giant mountains with old Ski's, carriages and snow shoes. This museum is daily opened from 9.00 to 12,00 o'clock and from 13.00 to 16,30 o'clock.
Outside of the runways Exhibition "stone and life"The exhibition shows nature and development of the giant mountain national park The Augustiner monastery was built in the year 1704 and is considered as important baroque monument of the city. In the monastery building the all-season exhibition of the giant mountain of national park "stone and life" was established. An attendance of this exhibition is much to recommending!
Trutnov An important center under the slopes of the giant mountains in the valley of the river Úpa. First written mentions come already from the year 1260. From the year 1360 Trutnov is a city. In the year 1866 came with Trutnov to the important battle between Austrian and prussichen armies. Today a monument stands on the summit of ibeničník. In 19. Century developed here the textile production. In this time are in Trutnov a museum, some buildings of 19. Century (station, sport house, the house Národní dům), the chapel Jánská of 18. Century, the early classics church Narození P. Marie and pseudoRoman cemetery chapel build of the end 19 hundred.
The beginnings of Trutnov are directly connected with the Upa river. In its valley led important trade routes, its partial water led into the Mlynsky nahon(Muehlgraben) drove four mills, a paper factory and one mill, the first factories and water power stations. The Upa(Aupa) river has its name also in 12. Century developed slawischen settlement, the predecessor of the today's city, given. The name Trutnov(Trautenau) the German Ansiedler coming in the second half of the year 13hundred gave to the place.
The first written documents
over the city are from the year 1260 in the document of the Aegydius
from Schwabenitz, where the city is called still as the second Upa to
the difference from settlement first developed in former times Úpa on
the place of the today's eingemeideten locality Horni of stars Mesto(Ober
Altstadt). The name "Trautnaw" appears for the first time in
the document of Wenzel to that II. in the year 1301. Starting from end
14. Century is Trutnov a royal Leibgedingstadt. A small part can be seen
by the city wall from the 14.Century to the hill still in the road
well Vrchu(Auf), in the Vodni Street(Wassergasse) and in the road well
Struze(Rinnelstreet). The water lane strengthened to the year 1961 the
Mlynsky flowing under it nahon(Muehlgraben). Under the Rinnelstrasse was
there by a Rinnel from the area of the today's park flowing water. The
wall of the city has from the 14.Century into half of the 19.Century most retaining the city center. Trutnov was three times
conquered in its history - in the year 1421 of Hussiten under January (Johann)
Zizka and in the years 1642 and 1647 of Sweden. After the largest Fire
in the year 1861 the wall city's were down-torn and the stone was used
for renovation of the destroyed city halls. The today's Trutnov lives
with the intensive culture-social life. Music has a large tradition,
since the year 1981 festival of the chamber music Trutnover autumn, with
us open air music festival with many in and foreign groups with
thousands of listeners. Much is also jazz festival Jazzinec, organ
festival and Trutnover Advent likes.
